Metropolis Software presents- Infernal, a battle of good vs evil
Developed by Metropolis Software and published by Playlogic Entertainment and Eidos Interactive, Infernal- the action-adventure game is an absolute masterpiece of work. With Innovative gameplay, a realistic story, and cutting-edge graphics, Infernal has entertained gamers in all aspects.
Played in a third-person perspective view, this action-adventure single-player game was first released on February 23, 2007, and a console port, Infernal: Hell’s Vengeance, was released on June 30, 2009, for Xbox 360.
Gameplay:
The primary character of Infernal- Ryan Lennox, a former angel who now works for Etherlight, heaven’s secret agency on Earth, is what the story centers on. In the ancient era battle of good vs evil, the agents of Etherlight have engaged themselves in a never-ending conflict with the agents of Hell. The agents of Hell are on the verge of extinction, giving the forces of Heaven the upper hand or the dominating power.
Hell believes that they can gain an advantage in their conflict with Heaven by recruiting Ryan. And once Ryan obtains the immersive powers of Hell, he will get off on missions to defeat Etherlight as well as heaven’s forces on Earth.
Where does the game lack?
The main issue or subject where the game fails and could not stand out on the mark is shooting guns or slaying enemies. It is not very exciting, regardless of how beautiful the story is, or how edgy the characters appear in the game.
Another issue where they lack is, when it comes down to mechanics, the game’s core mechanics and combat are dull and repetitive. Players need to fight and blast off the same dull enemies repeatedly and then drain their souls from the dead bodies to restore their health.
The enemies lose their weapons and ammunition when the players drain their souls and this whole process takes about five seconds for each dead body, which destroys the game’s pace because you will spend most of the time draining souls, whenever you fight.
