The Strongest Clans in Naruto
The Naruto-verse is a verse of ninjas and clan wars and so on. It’s no surprise that some of the strongest clans in Naruto will take prominence in the story and worldbuilding of Naruto. Kishimoto’s poor worldbuilding however put all of the strongest clans in Naruto in the Hidden Leaf Village of Konoha. So let’s take a look.
Hyuga Clan
The Hyuga Clan have inherited the Byakugan dojutsu which allows them to precisely control their chakra output and even attack the chakra points of their opponents to either temporarily or permanently disable their ninja techniques. It also allows them to see through normal genjutsu and disguises and even into great distances. Hinata and Neji are some prominent members of the clan.
Uzumaki Clan
The Uzumaki Clan were said to be almost wiped out before the events of Naruto began. They were said to be a legendary clan with immense reserves of chakra that allowed them to chain and bind even the tailed-beasts with their sealing techniques. The Uzumaki clan was tasked with sealing the Nine-Tailed Fox for generations and this included Naruto’s mother. Eventually up to ten clans teamed up and wiped out the Uzumaki clan because they were scared of their power and influence.
Uchiha Clan
The Uchiha Clan are bearers of the Sharingan- the most powerful of the dojutsu techniques in Naruto. The Sharingan allows the user to see through their opponents moves and even copy their ninjutsu techniques. It heightens their senses in battle by always allowing them to remain several steps ahead. The Sharingan can also be used for powerful genjutsu techniques which cannot be easily detected or undone. Madara Uchiha, Sasuka Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha are some of its most prominent members- thus making this clan one of the strongest clans in Naruto.
Senju Clan
The Senju Clan is the clan Hashirama Senju belonged to who is almost revered as a God of Shinobi in the Naruto world. He’s the only one who could consistently beat the formidable Madara Uchiha. The Senju clan were known for their Wood Style jutsus which allowed them to capture and bind even tailed-beasts and were highly resistant to most other ninja techniques. He single-handedly proved why the Senju clan is one of the strongest clans in Naruto.
Otsusuki Clan
The Otsusuki Clan is the original ninja clan that gave humanity chakra which in turn allowed them to use ninjutsu. They’re a legendary clan- lost to the annals of time and history but it’s safe to say that all ninja clans are descendants of the Otsusuki. Combining all of the tailed-beasts, the two dojutsus Sharingan and Byakugan gives you the Rinnegan which is the characteristic feature of all Otsusuki clan members. Their most direct descendants are the Kaguya Clan who were descendants of Kaguya Otsusuki and were formidable in their own right.
The Otsusuki clan were revealed at the wee end of Naruto Shippuden and we’re only getting to know more about them in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
