5 Valorant Tips And Tricks: How To Master Wallbang, Crosshair Placement, & More
Listed below are some essential tips and tricks for Valorant:-
1. Practice With Every Agent Before Choosing Your Main
Valorant has multiple Agents that need to be unlocked with Kingdom Credits. Fortunately, you can try each Agent’s abilities and also improve your aim in the Practice Range. The practice range helps players improve their strafe-and-shoot ability, improve their time in planting and defusing the Spike, and also familiarize themselves with each Agent during the training.
Before choosing a main, i.e., the character you will be using in Ranked matches, check out each Agent’s skills in the practice sessions. You must also learn about the different Roles attributed to each Agent. For example, Sentinel characters are good for holding chokepoints while Controllers are good options for smoking locations in the Maps.

2. Adjust Your Sensitivity Settings & Change Your Crosshair
New Valorant players start with a default white crosshair. It takes a large amount of space on the screen which hinders your chances of headshotting enemies. We recommend shrinking your crosshair to a small dot and changing its color to purple or red so that it doesn’t blend with the environment. You can also copy and paste the settings for the best Valorant crosshairs on your crosshair profile.
Apart from changing your crosshair, players should reduce their sensitivity setting to lower than 0.5. You will take time adjusting to the new setting but it will give improved chances of your crosshair to follow up with strafing opponents and one-tap them. 0.4 and 0.35 are considered the best sensitivity settings.
3. Learn To Shoot Through Walls & Surfaces
Valorant allows players to shoot through walls and objects. However, this mechanic depends on the ‘material’ of the surface and the ‘weapon’ that a player chooses to use. Objects and walls in the Maps are constructed with three materials: wood, stone, and metal. Wood can be easily penetrated by bullets from different weapons, stone demands more powerful guns like Vandal and Phantom, while Metal surfaces need weapons with the highest penetration, like the Odin or Ares.
Wallbanging isn’t easy in Valorant. Players need to hear the enemy’s footsteps, deduce their location, and point their crosshairs at the wall or object in the hopes of hitting the target. If you shoot and the target area shows you a spiderweb, it means that the bullet isn’t passing through the surface. However, if the targeted area shows a gaping bullet hole, that means that the bullet is passing through the wall.
4. Pre-Aim At The Enemy’s Head
Experienced Valorant players place their crosshairs at a particular angle and move in such a way that the crosshair isn’t affected by the mouse rotations. This pre-aim skill increases their chances of eliminating enemies with a headshot the moment they spot them. However, the pre-aim skill requires hours of practice and may not always work in bigger leagues like Radiant, where players crouch before shooting.
Mastering the skill of crosshair placement and adjusting it accordingly when facing strafing or crouching enemies comes with practice in Deathmatches or Unrated modes. If you practice daily for two hours, you will naturally learn the ideal crosshair position. Try some Ranked games to see how you fare in a more intense and high-stakes mode.
5. Combine Your Abilities With Other Players
Valorant rewards teamwork and the best example of this aspect is ability combos. Two or more players in a team can use their Agent abilities at the same time to make things miserable for the enemy. For instance, Fade’s ultimate can deafen opponents and mark their locations after which Neon can use her ultimate to speedily destroy the enemies with her shock blasts because they cannot hear her approaching.
Apart from precise aiming, strategically using Agent abilities is key to winning in Valorant. Ability combos work on a high-risk, high-reward factor, given that each skill charge requires Credits.
