PvP players often use the top Fairy-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO to scale the league stages and win massive rewards. This is because their access to Charm Fast Move, dealing 20 damage per hit, and the coverage of fairy Pokemon proves to be a game-changer.

That being said, these types can also hold their own in Raid battles. Most of them come with fairly solid bulk that can withstand the damage of Tier 3 Raid Bosses. This list will take both Raids and PvP into account to state the best ‘charmers’ in the AR-based game.
Here are the five top Fairy-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO.
1. Alolan Ninetales
The Alola form of Ninetales is known for being strikingly beautiful compared to the usual version. Adding to the fan favoritism is the fact that it is a dual Ice/Fairy Pokemon that can beat even the strongest metas in the leagues.
Alolan Ninetales has average bulk and attack stats with a max CP of 2610. Similar to other Fairy types, it has access to Charm Quick Move and can combine it with Dazzling Gleam and Ice Beam Charge Moves to get good coverage while also dealing massive damage.
2. Togekiss
Togekiss is the most-used meta in Leagues. The reason is that it is one of the few fairies whose 3767 CP is considered optimum for Master League while its max stats of 225 ATK, 217 Defense, and 198 HP are formidable.
Charm with Rock Slide is the preferred moveset for Togekiss. What makes it the top Fairy-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO is its durability as well as its ability to hard-counter Dragon- and Dark-type Pokemon. Evolving a Togepi into Togekiss is rather difficult in the Adventures Abound Season, though, as its spawn rate has been decreased.
3. Clefable
Clefable cannot go up to the level of Togekiss. However, it is a specialist when it comes to the Ultra League. Players can upgrade as a 15/15/15 variant to Level 42 to get a CP of 2499, enough for Clefable to dominate the meta with Charm, Fairy Wind, and Meteor Mash moves.
When it comes to Raids, Clefable can access its Steel-type Charged Move ‘Meteor Mash’ quickly compared to other top Fairy-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO. This can make her counter fellow fairy-types along with coverage over Rock- and Ice-type Pokemon.
4. Galarian Weezing
With its unique Poison/Fairy typing, Galarian Weezing can counter other top Fairy-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO Leagues. It is also a relatively bulkier Pokemon with the ability to spam Poison-type Charged attacks despite the low energy of Charm. Unfortunately, it can only be used in smaller leagues due to a CP cap of 2592.
The galarian form of Weezing can withstand Grass-, Dark-, Fairy-, Fighting-, Bug-, and Dragon-type Moves. Given its low number of weaknesses, the dual-type is a specialist when it comes to Tier 3 and Tier 4 Raids. The Pokemon is best used when with a Steel type in the party.
5. Gardevoir Is The Top Fairy-Type Pokemon in Pokemon GO Leagues
Gardevoir has had a sudden rise in popularity after the changes in Season 12. Thanks to additional access to Triple Axel (Ice) Charged Move, it is now one of the top Fairy-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO. Shadow Gardevoir is even better due to the shadow-type bonus.
Mega Gardevoir can defeat even the toughest Dragon types in Tier 5 Raids. Due to Triple Axel, it has additional coverage over Grass-, Flying-, and Rock-type bosses. The Pokemon is a must-have for any trainer especially due to the ongoing rumors of Gallade being introduced soon.
Pokemon GO is expected to have more changes in the meta and Raid preferences due to the incoming of other Paldean Pokemon later this year. For example, Tadbulb is about to debut in the Festival of Lights.
