Tower of God Season 2 Episode 9 Recap
The latest issue begins with Khun who was shocked to learn that Baam might still be alive. He then gets a picture of the person who injured one of his teammates. His name is revealed to be the Devil of the Right Hand. The narrative then shifts to Viole’s team, who also receive the same picture, and mistake the person as Horyang due to their similar looks. But Horyang reveals that it is not him but Casanno, someone he has a deep connection with.
Horyang then talks about his origin before he started to climb the Tower. He and Cassano were two of the kids on whom illegal experimentation was conducted. They also had a teacher named Ms. Sophia, who taught them regularly. However, they were transported and converted into Living Ignition Humans by forcing a devil inside them. Horyang was given the left side of the devil while Cassano received the right side, which earned him his moniker. After that, the two friends were forced to climb up the Tower from opposite sides.
Horyang’s story moves his comrades, who decide to help him find his long-lost friend. Afterward, Horyang asks Viole whether he is also a Living Ignition Human since he can use skeleton power. After a bit, Viole answers that he does not know the origins of the powers since the FUG never revealed it. However, he confessed that he had a teacher who helped him. After hearing his story, Horyang decides to leave the group.

The next episode of the anime will be titled The Hand of Arlen, clearly indicating the imminent introduction of Cassano. Bam’s group will likely face off against the Devil of the Right Hand, which could prove to be hard without Horyang. It would be really interesting since Khun also wants to hunt down the same person. Fans can also expect to see what Khun does about the news that Bam is alive.
