DPC NA 2023 concludes with TSM coming first
The North American Dota Pro Circuit or NA DPC for this year recently ended. In the final battle, we saw Shoppify Rebellion and TSM go against each other. It was a Bo3 match, however, the third match was not even necessary as TSM won it with a flawless score of 2-0, and became the champions of DPC NA 2023 Tour 1: Division 1. A major reason for that was their Lina carry.
Lina is not a traditional carry hero, and for that reason, it is quite unlikely to see her being used as a carry in professional matches. TSM decided to use her as the carry in their final match against Shoppify Rebellion in the finals of North American Dota Pro Circuit (NA DPC). And, they did not only pick Lina as the carry in one game but in both the games they played. This decision faired them well, as they managed to win against Shoppify Rebellion with a flawless score of 2-0.
In both these matches, Lina dominated the battlefield. In the first match, Lina’s final score stood at 14-4-10 with almost 37,000 net worth, and in the second match, the score stood at 11-1-6 with approximately 32,000 net worth.
With this win, TSM got the first position in this event, whereas Shoppify Rebellion was a close second. Both of these teams have now advanced to the highly anticipated Lima Major which will also be the first DPC Major to be held in South America, and it is also the first DPC Major for this year.
DOTA 2 community’s reaction to TSM vs Shoppify Rebellion in NA DPC 2023
The community was surprised, and many started to question the decisions made by Shoppify Rebellion. One of them was why was not Lina banned by them? After they lost the second match, it should have been clear that letting TSM pick Lina would be a major disadvantage for SR. So, banning Lina would have been a logical approach.
Conclusion
TSM and Shoppify Rebellion went against each other in the last match of NA DPC 2023, and it ended up with the former team winning with a flawless score of 2-0. And, one of the major factors that contributed towards this outcome was the decision of TSM to pick Lina as their carry. And, this decision surely did pay off, and now both teams have advanced to the Lima Major.
