Resident Evil 9 Leaks: Jill And Leon Return As Protagonists In A Story Set 4 Years After RE Village
Per the Resident Evil 9 leaks, the story is set four years after the previous main series game, RE Village. The rumors hint at Jill and Leon’s return as protagonists for the next Resident Evil title, and both will be supported by Chris Redfield and Barry Burton. The leaked storyline is rumored to be centered around Jill (BSAA) and Leon (DSO)’s investigations around an island where the company that created Eveline is based.
The game will be set on an island with multiple locations, including caves, an abandoned hospital, uninhabited houses, a dark forest, a deserted factory, a laboratory, and a temple. Both Leon and Jill are rumored to get infected with the Megamycete, and Resident Evil 9 will serve as the conclusion to the eponymous storyline from RE7 and Village. There will be plenty of enemies, with Mr. Simon rumored to be the primary villain.
@RinoTheBouncer also revealed that Resident Evil 9 playtests were conducted in April and September. The playtest of Jill’s abandoned hospital section happened in April, while Leon’s part in the dark forest was conducted in September. Currently, there is no way to confirm whether the Resident Evil 9 leaks are accurate. Fans will have to wait for Capcom to confirm everything, and until then, they should take every rumor with a grain of salt.
