The Steam-exclusive RPG game by Stunlock Studios’ has achieved the 4 million sales mark within two years of its early access release. The future looks bright for the vampire-based genre, considering the massive content update set to be released next month, and news of a planned PlayStation 5 release for 2025.
V-Rising Completes 4 Million Sales Ahead Of A Full Release
V-Rising Early Access was released on Steam in May 2022. Even though it did not burst into popularity like Palworld this year, it gained praise from critics for its character and level design, and role-playing aspects. The game released its first major update, ‘Secrets of Gloomrot’ in 2023 which added more gameplay mechanics for players who have been ardently playing the early access.
In the latest news, V-Rising has completed four million sales. The milestone comes just a month before the 1.0 update scheduled for May 8, 2024, one of the biggest upcoming game updates this year, and which will officially be the game’s full release.
The hit RPG game by Stunlock Studios has 89% positive reviews on Steam. Set in a dark fantasy realm, players take the role of a recently awakened vampire who is hungry for human blood. They have to consume different non-playable characters, battle tough bosses that are a threat to their safety, and upgrade their equipment. Garlic and Sunlight are a few things that deal damage to the player’s character.
V-Rising’s 1.0 update will introduce more gameplay mechanics and boss fights. Moreover, the game is set to have a crossover with Konami’s Castlevania, featuring Simon Belmont as an upcoming boss who will drop a trademark vampire-slaying whip upon being defeated.
