The changing scenario of Valorant Agents
Valorant is a strategic shooting game developed and published by Riot Games. The video game debuted on 2nd June 2020, and soon after that, it started attracting the FPS(first-person shooter) community. Many started to like it because of its distinct features as players got their hands on the game’s classy Valorant Agents(playable characters). Recently, Riot Games’ character producer for VALORANT, John Goscicki, revealed that three new agents are headed to the game. So, in 2023, we can expect to see three brand-new agents with unique abilities joining the game. In this article, you will learn about the last five agents added to the game.
Agents and their abilities
If we look at the current list of agents in Valorant, 20 are present. This gives players a lot of room to manoeuvre through the agent pool. Each agent belongs to distinct categories. These 4 distinct categories are Duelist, Controller, Initiator and Sentinel, with each category having different skill sets. Let’s look at the Agents that joined the game recently.
The Indian-origin Agent joined the Valorant lineup recently with the 5.08 patch. The new Valorant Agent joined the list as a controller who can control the ocean. His (C) ability is Cascade which creates a wave of water that moves in a direction. (Q) ability is Cove generates a protective shield. (E) ability is High Tide which creates a wall of water, and the Ultimate (X) is Reckoning, which gives him the power to wash away enemies and concuss them.
She was introduced in the game’s 4.08 patch. The Turkish-origin agent joined the agent list as an initiator. Her (C) ability is Prowler, used to get the nearby opponents and blind them. (Q) ability is Seize which is used as an enemy knot to hold them. (E) ability is Haunt which is used to discover hidden enemies and reveal their position. Her Ultimate(X) is Nightfall which gives nightmares to the enemies inside the radius. It deafens players from incoming footsteps or sounds.
She is packed with energy and falls under the Duelist category. Her (C) ability is called the fast lane, which creates a path covered with electrified waves. (Q) ability is a relay bolt, (E) is High gear, and her Ultimate (X) is Overdrive, producing a deadly lighting beam.
The French-origin player joined the Valorant Agents as a sentinel. His (C) ability is Trademark, a trap that locks an enemy and creates a trap where enemies move slowly. (Q) is head-hunter, which gets him equipped with a sheriff pistol. (E) ability is Rendevous which helps him to set teleports. His Ultimate (X) is Tour De Force, giving him a sniper rifle.
With patch 3.0, KAY/O joined the list of initiators. He is the only robot agent in the game. His (C) ability is Frag/Ment, a grenade that sticks to the ground and spreads in a radius. His (Q) ability is Flash/Drive, a flash grenade. (E) ability known as Zero/Point suppresses the enemy as they can’t use their abilities. Ultimate (X) is Null/CMD which overloads with polarised radiative energy and disables every gadget and ability.
These above-mentioned Agents are the ones who joined the game recently, with Harbor being the latest one. He made the agent count to a total of 20 agents.
