Each Valorant Act lasts for a couple of months. Now that Episode 8 Act 2 is about to conclude, Valorant Episode 8 Act 3 will take precedence. It will introduce a new battle pass consisting of new weapon skins, emotes, player cards, and multiple features that RIOT Games are yet to reveal.
The ongoing season has released multiple exciting updates which include the addition of a new Controller Agent named Clove and new weapon bundles like Switchback and Sovereign 2.0. Valorant Episode 8 Act 3 will add to the list of skins and hopefully even debut a new Agent.
Valorant Episode 8 Act 3 Release Date, Timings, & Upcoming Nerf
April 30, 2024, is the Valorant Episode 8 Act 3 release date. The new Act will immediately take over following the ending of Act 2. The estimated time for the update is 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 2:30 AM IST. Timings could only be estimated because the servers are taken down for a couple of hours before the release of a new update. Players won’t be able to log in and start Matchmaking during the downtime.
A new Valorant Act means that a player’s rank in Competitive will be reset. However, they could earn it back by playing a few Placement Matches. These matches help the system deduce a player’s skills and assign them a Rank based on their performance. You may find yourselves at Silver even though you were Bronze 1 in the previous Act.
While there were many leaks and rumors before the beginning of Episode 8 Act 2 on March 5, the rumor mill is silent for Valorant Episode 8 Act 3. RIOT Games did reveal that the upcoming Patch 8.08 in Act 3 will nerf Viper’s smoke abilities in Valorant.

Valorant recently introduced the Switchback Bundle. The collection features five skins with a combination of orange-and-white colors, albeit with no kill animations.
