VCT Ascension Pacific 2023: Schedule, Groups, Matches, and more
As mentioned, the Valorant Ascension Pacific commences on June 28, 2023, with ten teams fighting in the group stage matches. Riot Games has divided the teams into two groups of five – Alpha and Omega. The group stage will have 20 matches in a single round robin format from June 28 to July 4, 2023. Two teams with the lowest rank in each group will be eliminated after group stage matches conclude.
After the group stage, the top three teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs. Riot Games has structured playoffs in a single-elimination bracket format, with each team getting eliminated after each match. The first-placed team from each group will get a direct seat for the semi-finals, which will be held on July 8, while the rest of the four teams will have to compete in the quarter-finals on July 7, 2023.
The second-placed team from Group Omega will fight the third-placed team from Group Alpha in match M1. At the same time, M2 will be fought between the other two teams competing in the quarter-finals. The winner of M1 will fight, then fight Group Alpha’s first-ranked team, and the victor of M2 will compete against Group Omega’s first-placed roster in the semi-finals.
Post the playoffs stage, grand finals will be held on July 9 between the winners of both semi-finals. Readers must also note that only the grand finals will be a best-of-five series, and the rest of the playoffs and group stage matches will be fought in BO3 series.
