The Fnatic team faced Sentinels with one man less on the venue, while the COVID-positive player competed from a quarantine room with LAN facilities. The match went ahead against Sentinels as planned, as the player was well to compete for the quarantined facility. Fnatic produced great gameplay as they eliminated Sentinels with a 2-0 victory in the best of 3 games in the Round of 32 fixture. With the win, they will now face FURIA Esports in the Round of 16 fixture.

About the player’s health

A lot of the essential offseason signings took place for both clubs. Many fans eagerly awaited to watch the Fnatic vs Sentinels match, as both teams had a good fan base in their respective regions. With ex-XSET members dephh and zekken, Brazilian studs Sacy and pANcada joined Sentinels during the roster transfer period. Fnatic acquired Chronicle and Leo for the tournament. However, fans got upset with the news of the Fnatic player’s health as they had a lot of expectations to see the entire team on stage. However, the player was well enough for the match as he decided to play for the team from an isolated quarantine room that had LAN facilities installed.

COVID-19 had a lot of effects on the players and their health across different esports organisations. Many players got affected in different esports tournaments as well. But still, they were not left behind. Hence, keeping that in mind, Fnatic played the match against Sentinels and eventually won.
