Warframe’s ambitious The Duviri Paradox expansion
The ambitious Duviri Paradox expansion for Warframe initially set to release last year but postponed until 2023, is finally here. Developer Digital Extremes has now confirmed its launch this April. Following the Plains of Eidolon, Cambrian Drift and the Orb Vallis, The Duviri Paradox ushers in Warframe’s fourth open-world region and transports players to the fantasy-western-themed world of Duviri. This world is notable for existing inside the mind of the expansion’s new major antagonist, Dominus Thrax.
In addition to having a unique setting, The Duviri Paradox also has a striking stark black-and-white aesthetic (with the world gradually turning full colour over time), a novel rewind-on-death mechanic that sees Digital Extremes “flirting with rogue-like elements,” and just for kicks, a fancy skeletal horse steed.
Next month, go deep into the Void.
Due to the preview at TennoCon 2022, many aspects of the Duviri Paradox have already been seen. The Duviri Paradox, located deep within the Void, will pit the Drift against King Dominus Thrax, the ruler of the Firmament and the ultimate authority in the area. He is a nearly impenetrable enemy because his every whim becomes a reality. Bombastine, a showman with an unusually appropriate name, introduced Dominus Thrax to the Tenno at the Duviri Amphitheater. Additionally, we got to see how colour is crucial in the monochromatic world, guiding Tenno on their quest and illuminating the secrets of Duviri.
Even those Tenno who still needs to unlock their Drifter can participate in the Duviri Paradox. Players can choose from three other modes: The Duviri Experience offers the open-world adventure, The Circuit offers an endless Warfarme-only mode, and The Lone Story mode offers a solo narrative for Tenno, who doesn’t want any help.
In Warframe, things seemed to get strange
The next significant piece of content for the well-liked online multiplayer game Warframe will be released next month. Warframe’s Duviri Paradox expansion will launch in April, bringing a unique experience to the sci-fi game. This is being marketed by publisher and developer Digital Extremes as a roguelike-inspired Open World experience open to new and experienced players. The Duviri Paradox’s teaser debuted during today’s March Devstream and revealed more of the game’s theme and mood. The Drifter, who is battling Child King ruler Dominus Thrax while trapped in a shifting and changing world, is the story’s main character. On March 15, Hildryn Prime will also enter Warframe.
Today’s Devstream announced a release date for the Duviri Paradox but also the return of TennoCon on August 26 with a live, in-person event. Due to the pandemic, TennoCon has only been available online for the past few years. However, this summer, a live event in London, Ontario, is promised by Digital Extremes.
