Warzone Mobile Global Launch: Limited Release iOS Players Required To Download A Separate Version

Warzone Mobile global launch on Thursday, March 21, 2024 will finally roll out the gameplay content that developers tested out with the limited release version in select regions. After the worldwide launch, the Android players will receive an update on their limited release WZM version.

However, the devs have confirmed that iOS users will need to download a separate application, as limited release app will not work once Warzone Mobile has launched globally. Fortunately, iOS and iPad players can retain their progress from the previous variant of Warzone Mobile by following the guide given below:

Warzone Mobile Global Launch: How Can Limited Release iOS Players Retain Their Progress?

According to the Warzone Mobile developers, the limited release iOS version that was operational in the select regions will get outdated after the game’s global launch. Hence, the iOS users will need to follow the steps listed below, to retain their progress in the separate worldwide launch version of WZM:

Call of Duty / Activision Accounts

1. Players should get the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile application (Worldwide Launch version) on or after March 21, 2024 from the Apple App Store — https://apps.apple.com/us/app/call-of-duty-warzone-mobile/id1638368439
2. Once installed, players should launch the WZM app on their iOS / iPadOS device and log in with their Activision or Call of Duty account. This way, they will get to restore all in-game progress they have done in limited release version.

Guest Accounts

1. One should install Warzone Mobile app from the Apple App Store.
2. Open the limited release version of WZM and log in with the Guest account (used to register the in-game progress).
3. Link the current Guest account to an Activision ID through the system settings. Players can create their Activision / Call of Duty accounts using their active email IDs and other personal information.

If players don’t want to upgrade to the Activision account, they should sign into the updated (most recent) limited release iOS Warzone Mobile application once, before logging into the worldwide release version. They can later link their guest accounts to Activision to enable cross-progression with Modern Warfare III and Warzone on PC & console.
