Astro Bot File Size To Be Six Times Larger Than Astro’s Playroom
According to a recent leak, courtesy of Genki (@Genki_JPN on X), Astro Bot file size will be around a staggering 66 GB, which is almost six times of that of Astro’s Playroom (11.7 GB). After the reveal of an unprecedented change in the file size, it has been clear that Astro Bot is aiming at providing a gameplay experience like never before.
Astro Bot’s narrative is centered around the titular character, who is among the robots that were originally a part of Playroom (2014). The upcoming 3D platformer also has two predecessors — Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Astro’s Playroom. In Astro Bot, players will get to experience a space adventure featuring Astro and his spaceship named, “Dual Speeder,” which is inspired by PS5’s DualSense controller.
The game brings 80 levels, six galaxies, and a plethora of planets, featuring around 70 unique enemies and massive bosses (at the end of each galaxy). Astro can use up to 15 abilities with different capabilities and advantages to diversify the gameplay. Team Asobi has also confirmed as many as 150 character cameos from other Sony IPs on PlayStation.
