What Happened In Oshi No Ko Chapter 158?
The latest chapter, titled ‘Jewel’, starts pretty normally with a B-Komachi live performance. Ruby Hoshino takes the center stage as the brightest star in the group. We see Fuyuko Niino who looks at her with a wondrous expression and thinks about how Ruby has surpassed her mother Ai. Afterward, Akane comes to visit Ruby backstage, which cheers up the idol. They talk about life in the limelight and Ruby comments on how an idol’s fame is limited. She says that the only way an idol can live forever is by becoming part of someone’s memory, much like Ai.
Her comment feels like serious foreshadowing for what’s to come. The chapter focuses on a phone conversation between Niino and Hikaru Kamiki. The latter tells her that they need to give themselves up to the police now. This prompts Niino to yell at him that she cannot ever come back from killing Ryosuke. After the call, she starts to maniacally blame Ai for her misfortune. She looks at a poster of Ruby Hoshino and says that there can be no idol bigger than Ai. The narrative moves to Tsukuyomi, who stands on a beach, talking about how humans equate feelings of envy, jealousy, obsession, desire, disappointment, and despair with love. On Christmas day, right before B-Komachi’s final live performance, Fuyuko Nino stabs Ruby Hoshino outside her apartment.
Niino’s Reason Behind Stabbing Ruby Is Pretty Twisted
Fuyuko Niino is one of the main antagonists of the Oshi No Ko manga series. Often regarded as a little ditzy, she used to be part of the original B-Komachi idol group alongside Ai Hoshino. However, once Ai started to surpass her in popularity, she became insanely jealous of her. This later turned into a destructive obsession which led her to stage Ai’s murder along with Kamiki. Later, the two of them also killed Ryosuke to cover up the truth behind the idol’s demise. In the years after Ai’s death, Niino’s fanaticism reached such a height that she murdered several promising idols in cold blood so they wouldn’t ever excel the legendary idol’s stardom.

Unfortunately, unlike Kamiki, who now wants to repent for his sins and confess to the police, Niino remains a psychopathic devotee of Ai’s memory. This also leads her to want to kill Ruby Hoshino once she sees how the young idol possesses the talent to transcend her mother’s fame. That is why, despite being driven mad with her own demented dedication, she stabs Ruby in the exact same way that Ryosuke had stabbed Ai. In her mind, this is the only way to make up for what she had done to her co-star and maintain her legendary status. It remains to be seen whether Ruby suffers the same tragic fate as her mother or if she can recover from this attack.
