The latest chapter begins inside Takiishi’s mind where there are many mannequins and other junk. We soon realize that those mannequins are representative of how Chika views weaker humans. However, when he sees Umemiya standing with an angry look on his face, Takiishi is delighted to finally have found a worthy opponent. Fans then see the two of them fighting as Umemiya punches Chika’s bleeding face. Chika smiles maniacally and continues to fight back.
At the sidelines, Sakura is disturbed to see this new unhinged side of Umemiya. But Endo tells him that this is the same Umemiya who came to Furin as a first-year student and completely changed it through sheer determination and strength. The kind and ditzy Umemiya that Sakura knows is not the real version of him. According to Endo, Hajime Umemiya is as nasty and deadly a fighter as Chika. He was only able to change Furin from a delinquent school to the town’s protector by being a violent fighter himself. Endo comments that it’s the reason why Umemiya has a place in Takiishi’s world. But Sakura has a dissatisfied expression on his face and thinks that this violent Umemiya feels too distant from the one he knows.
