The latest issue of Satoru Nii’s popular manga focused mainly on Umemiya as he began the second round of his brawl against Chika Takiishi. Not only did he think about their past at Furin High together, but he also understood how all this destruction was partly his fault. After that, he found strength in Sakura, who had defeated Endo, one of the strongest guys in the school’s history.

Wind Breaker Chapter 156 Recap
Umemiya recalls the time he and Chika were in school together and says he never really understood him. Although he wanted Chika and him to understand each other, Umemiya’s drive to him kept him away from that aim. Ultimately, Chika was driven away and became a shadow that nobody understood. When Chika smiled at him during their fight, Umemiya calmed down. He realized Chika was only after him and the devastation that befell the town and school was only collateral damage.
Umemiya then accepts his fault in all this and remembers the promise he made to always shoulder the consequences of his actions for the town. He vows to win because then he and Chika can understand each other. Another glorious battle scene begins as the two great fighters constantly attack each other. Umemiya asks his opponent why he is having so much fun, to which Chika replies it’s because no matter how many times he beats down the Bofurin Captain, he always stands back up.
Umemiya smiles and says of course he has to perform well since his junior Sakura is watching him. After remembering how Sakura kept his end of their promise by defeating Endo, he will also have to beat Chika, who is the best fighter Furin has ever produced. When Chika punches his stomach, Umemiyaa grabs his arm and asks him to have a long talk when the battle is over. He then punches his opponent in the face with all his strength.
Wind Breaker Chapter 157 Predictions
After the devastating blow that Umemiya landed on Chika, it is likely the fight will end in the upcoming issue. It seems unlikely that anyone can come back from an attack that hard. We will probably see Endo trying to help Chika while Sakura celebrates his senior’s win. The rest of the Bofurin members might also come back after securing the town and celebrate their victory. After his loss, Chika will have a long-overdue conversation with Umemiya where they will talk about their future.
