Wuthering Waves has had a tremendous start. Kuro Games’ role-playing title reportedly earned $10 million within a week, mostly thanks to its impressive combat system, character designs, and the freedom given to players to explore the open world of Huanglong. The game is not flawless though, as numerous players have complained about bugs and performance issues that hamper the overall experience.
In a recent notice, the developers publicly apologized for the sub-par performance of the game. They are aware of the deficiencies that affect the game’s experience. Apart from mentioning the upcoming fixes, the devs have also revealed the features for the Wuthering Waves 1.1 update.
Kuro Games Officially Reveals Wuthering Waves 1.1 Characters, A New Map, & Boss Fight
The “Announcement on Wuthering Waves 1.0 Version and Future Adjustment Directions” notice shared by Kuro Games mentions the upcoming events in the current as well as the next version. After taking note of the criticism around Wuthering Waves Overdash Club event, the developers have increased the duration and rewards for the upcoming events.
Starting from June 13, a new limited-time special event ‘Wuthering Exploration’ will be active in the game. The rewards for the event include 800 Asterites and different Morphable Elite Class Echoes. Kuro Games has doubled the Asterite rewards for an event, given that Overdash gave 360 Asterites upon completion.
The biggest news coming from the latest notice is the planned features for the next update. After Wuthering Waves 1.0 ends on June 28, 2024, at 05:59 Server Time, there will be a brief downtime after which the Wuthering Waves 1.1 Thaw of Eons will be rolled out.
Resonators Jinhsi and Changli are the upcoming Wuthering Waves 1.1 characters. Jihnsi is the current Magistrate of Jinzhou city after the supposed death of General Lin, whose whole background story was revealed in Wuthering Waves 1.0 Story Cinematics. Changli is Jinhsi’s counselor who had a few conversations with Rover in the 1.0 main story.
Moreover, Wuthering Waves 1.1 will include a new area called Mt. Firmament and a new boss called Jué. The latter is one of the six Sentinels in Huanglong. Initially, Jué seems to be a humble Sentinel in Prologue: Act I — Utterance of Marvels: I, but later he tells Jihnsi that they will have to fight each other sometime.
