Wuthering Waves Among the Shoals and Islands requires players to activate beacons and connect the light path to the Altar of Radiance. The Exploration Quest is activated after completing the Mirrored Loong’s Pearl mission. After Shicheng is rescued from a pack of wolves, the young woman provides the locations of multiple Altars scattered around Mt. Firmament. All the Altars can be made functional by following the process mentioned in this guide.
A Comprehensive Guide For Completing Wuthering Waves Among the Shoals and Islands Exploration Quest
Compared to the other Altars of Radiance, the most complex set of altars is located west of Loong’s Ridge, on the southwestern part of Mt.Firmament Map. Players need to solve multiple puzzles to connect the light paths. Those who are unfamiliar with the Wuthering Waves Among the Shoals and Islands quest and haven’t completed Loong’s Pearl can first understand the basics before moving further.
Activate The Altar of Initiation
To begin the mission, activate the Altar of Initiation as directed by the quest marker. Watch closely where the light travels because it will direct you to the second altar. The first altar is always correct, there is no need to rotate, while the others need to be rotated.
Rotate The Light Path To The Next Altar
Stand close to the beacons and press Rotate on mobile or the F key on PC. Continue rotating the beacon until the ray of light connects to the beacon. This completes the basics for completing the exploration challenge. Although it seems simple, the actual challenge is the level-scaled Tacet Discords and Fractsidus that usually guard the beacons.
Choose The ‘Right’ Platform
The third beacon in Wuthering Waves Among the Shoals and Islands quest will be blocked by two structures. Step on the platforms on the right to activate a mechanism that pushes the pillars down. One of the platforms will be blocked by vines which can be burned by using a Levitator to grab a nearby round-shaped explosive. Rotate the beacon twice to connect it to the next.
Use The Chronosorter To Move Back Time
Connecting the light path with the last altar in Wuthering Waves Among the Shoals and Islands quest essentially requires a Chronosorter. Click the left arrow to change the timeline. Afterward, players can scale the ruins easily and connect the light path to the Altar of Radiance.
To finish the quest, the pearl of light created in the Altar of Radiance must be aligned with the Dragon’s Mouth. A tutorial of the action was provided before the quest.
