The Annual game launches for the WWE series are back with WWE 2K23, now a few days away from the official launch. The latest instalment of the WWE series from 2K Games and Visual Concepts is set for the 17th of March release. The anticipation for the game began when WWE 2K launched the official gameplay trailer in February, showcasing the graphical advancements, the cover featuring the Superstar John Cena and lining up the female roster. Lots of Legend characters are also included, and the game has a lot to offer with various game modes and matchups. WWE 2K23’s wrestling roster includes stars from popular shows like RAW, SmackDown, NXT and NXT UK.
What’s new in this game?
As you all know, WWE 2K23 is the successor of WWE 2K22, and the game now has some advanced graphical mechanisms making it even more real. The game is set to offer new twists on the showcase, and a new match type known as WarGames is introduced. Not only this, there are a lot of improvements to the game’s MyGM Mode, MyFACTION Mode, MyRISE mode and Universe Mode. WarGames marks its debut in WWE 2K23 and includes a 3v3 and 4v4 multiplayer mode to try on.
Popular WWE 2K23 Men’s roster
Firstly, players will be able to see the cover star, John Cena joining the men’s roster. Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, the American Nightmare, Brock Lesner, Steve Austin the stone cold, Drew McIntyre, Hulk Hogan, Bobby Lashley, Edge and many more. These famous men characters will all be the playable ones in the game. John Cena celebrates his 20th Anniversary in WWE and gets on the Cover as the 16-time World Champion.
The female roster’s new additions
A lot of female players joined the roster. The promising names that recently come to the list are Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Ronda Rousey, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Bayley, Iyo Sky of Damage CTRL and Shotzi. Women’s entrance into the game previously never had much emphasis, but this time, the way additions and improvements are made to Women’s entry into the game. There have been many reworks regarding the entrance of the women’s, and now it seems everything is sorted.
How the game differs from its 2K22 version
Many of you know that in WWE 2K22, the Stamina was reduced. This time, it’s not an issue anymore as WWE 2K23 now has tired animations, visual expressions and behavioural effects of the characters. A new Pin Minigame is included; players can enjoy the new finishers as it comes into the game. Players can also perform taunts while holding a weapon. And the primary focus will remain on the Female Referees who all are coming to the game.
Additions to the game modes
At first, what comes up is MyGM Mode is the weekly show where players compete against rival General Managers to increase the brand value. There will be many new GMs with multiple seasons and expanded match cards. The MyFACTION Mode features online multiplayer, and players can collect and manage the cards of WWE Superstars and Legends to build the ultimate 4-person faction. MyRISE will have new stories to tell as players get to shape their careers. It will feature different stories of men’s and women’s division storylines.

WWE 2023 available editions
Four versions of the game are available now for pre-orders. The list includes the Standard edition, the WWE 2K23 Deluxe edition, which gives players the unique MyFACTION cards; the WWE 2K23 Icon Edition, full of loaded content and the CROSS-GEN Digital Edition.
