Revenant Esports leads the standings after Day 1 in India League
The Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League 2023 organised by The Pokémon Company commenced on 6th January with the regional leagues. The India League organised by Skyesports and The Pokémon Company began their actions yesterday on 8th January. This will run till 19th February with only 2 teams making it to the Finals.
The India League comprises the 5 best Indian teams who all made their way through the different qualifiers. Now, these five teams will compete to make it through the India League. As of now, a total of two matches are played on the opening day. Each week, two games will be played among the teams. Yesterday, two games were played and the match recaps are available on the Pokémon Asia ENG YouTube Channel, and Hindi commentary is available on Skyesports’ official YouTube Channel.
Day 1 matches
The day was packed with a total of 2 matches. Each game consists of the best of the three-game series. Revenant Esports made it through the 2022 World Championship while other teams Gods Reign, Marcos Gaming, True Rippers, and Team S8UL made it through India open.
Match 1: Gods Regin against True rippers
These two teams began the day. True Rippers were extremely good against Gods Regin and claimed both games back-to-back.
- Game 1: Fans got to witness a great fight among the team. The final score of the first game remained 373 against 713 True Rippers. With this victory, True Rippers led the best of 3 game series by 1-0.
- Game 2: The second game of the day began. Starting was a bit slow but later as time passed, True Rippers again went for a rampage. The Final score of the game came out as 318-512 and it was True Rippers who prevailed over Gods Reign.
Match 2: Revenant Esports vs Team S8UL
- Game 1: Revenant Esports began to dominate the game from the beginning and went ahead with a smashing victory against S8UL by 601 – 214. The win secured their lead in the best of 3 games.
- Game 2: S8UL performed poorly in this game as they failed to stand against Revenant Esports players. The outcome of the game came out as Revenant Esports winning the game with a final score of 628 – 106. This was an easy game for them and they made it a 2-0 win.
With these games, the first week of the India League concluded and Revenant Esports currently leads the standing with a record of 1-0 while True Rippers are in 2nd position. The second week of s actions will begin on 15th January.
