Ahead of ALGS, HisWattson gets 3-day ban following toxicity behaviour
Jacob McMillin, aka HisWattson, somehow avoids ALGS consequences as the professional Apex Legends player of FURIA Esports faced another ban due to his toxic behaviour. The player took to his Twitter account and announced his EA Account ban, which came on the 8th of March. The ban came out because of the player’s chat message while in-game. Well, it is not the first time for HisWattson as earlier he faced a ban from playing week one of Split One in the 2023 NA Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS). However, this time it’s just a 3-day ban as he was seen violating the EA’s terms of services and rules.
HisWattson’s Apex Legends blunder
Apart from an official game, HisWattson and his FURIA teammate Nelson Medina better known as Xeratricky, were seen in an exchange of banter while playing. All insults and banters were in a friendly manner. However, Apex Legends and EA’s centralised chat moderation caught the chat and handed him the ban. The player doesn’t know why the ban was handed, and he added that he was in a 3-stack. But as the terms are violated, he must now serve the ban.
The previous incident with HisWattson
HisWattson dealt with hackers in multiple ranked games before Split One of the NA ALGS, which led him to ask Respawn for help resolving the issue. He then began to call out RSPN Hideouts, the leader of Apex security, but the security staff were off on weekends. He tweeted abusive texts regarding the developers but later deleted them. But this behaviour led Respawn to take official action, and as the harassment was intended towards its members, the team took action by blacklisting HisWattson. He also got banned from participating in week one of the 2023 NA ALGS Split 1.
The player later clarified his behaviour and stated that he spoke everything out of anger. His main motive was to bring up the issue of cheaters upfront, and the developer team took a timely step.
The FURIA Esports roster is all clear
Despite all the problems and the latest automated ban, HisWattson can participate in the upcoming Split 2. FURIA will proceed with their full lineup on the first day of action. NA ALGS Split 2 week one starts on the 11th of March, and as FURIA Esports got themselves drawn in Group C, they will face Group A on the 12th of March.
Conclusion
Another ban leads HisWattson on the verge of facing the consequences ahead of Split 2 of NA ALGS. But as it’s a temporary ban, the player can participate with FURIA and their roster.
