Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (stylized as Modern Warfare III) Season 2 launched in February and brought new MP maps like Departures, Stash House, and Vista. The Season 2 is finally coming to an end and developers have also revealed the new Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 maps that will debut in the game soon. In the following section, readers can find out more about the upcoming MP map additions in MW3 Season 3.
The Complete List Of New Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 Maps
Ahead of the launch of Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 on April 3, Sledgehammer Games (& Activision) has confirmed the arrival for six Core 6v6 MP maps to the game. MW3 will get three brand-new map one remastered and two repurposed MP additions in Season 3, listed as follows:
Brand-New Maps In MW3 Season 3
6 Star
6 Star is a brand-new map that MW3 players will get to experience at the launch of Season 3. It is located at the top of the Hadiqa 6 Star resort and offers ample space for mid-range fights across lanes, hallways, shortcuts, and more connecting different areas like the aquarium, Oasis Lounge, the garden helipad, a security office, and more.
Emergency
Emergency is a small-scaled Core 6v6 map that will debut in the game at MW3 Season 3 launch. The map features a settings of an abandoned and damaged medical facility with tightly-packed areas like the exterior forecourt, the interior reception lobby, and a medical laboratory. Players will need to adapt to an aggressive playstyle for close-quarter scuffles to win matches on the Emergency MP map.
Grime
Unlike 6 Star and Emergency, Grime will make its way to the game around the halfway mark of MW3 Season 3. It will feature close to mid-range battles with enough cover and choke points available across the location. Grime features graffitied walls and landmarks or buildings like Emily’s greasy spoon café, the docks, and an abandoned SKN Comms center.
Remastered Maps
Growhouse
Having introduced initially in Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 3 as Sphere, Growhouse will be available to play in MW3 at Season 3 launch. Sledgehammer Games has used an almost similar small-scaled layout, but has made significant changes to Sphere’s original environment, modernizing the designs of the buildings.
Repurposed Maps
Tanked And Checkpoint
Sledgehammer Games has collaborated with Beenox to repurpose two Warzone POIs (points of interest) into new Core 6v6 maps for MW3 Season 3. Tanked is a medim-sized map based on Vondel’s Zoo POI, while Checkpoint is constructed as an inspiration from Rebirth Island‘s Stronghold. Players will get to experience Tanked at the Season 3 launch, but Checkpoint will have a mid-season release.
